Roberto Clemente Foundation Continues Week of Community Impact in Puerto Rico

Building on the success of Monday's youth clinic, the Roberto Clemente Foundation continued their efforts and continued their week filled with impactful activities all across Puerto Rico.

The Roberto Clemente Foundation started the week with a clinic for the youth of San Felipe and Salinas Puerto Rico on Monday, December 4th. The clinic saw over 300 children and spectators of all ages playing baseball with nearly a dozen former pros, members of the Clemente Foundation, and even a few of the Field of Dreams Ghost Players.

Former pros included active Atlanta Braves pitcher Joe Jimenez, Ellie Rodriguez, Orlando Sales, Irving Falu, Mario Diaz, Quinton Holmes, Eddie Vargas, Eddie Rodriguez, and Tony Graffanino.

On Tuesday, Luis Clemente, the Foundation, and several former Major Leaguers including Angel Miranda, Eddie Vargas and Quinton Holmes, visited schools in the Adjuntas area, distributing non-perishable food and engaging with the communities.  The Mayor of Adjuntas met with the team and thanked them for their contributions to the area.

Thursday, December 7th, will see the Foundation extending its reach to Fajardo, where more community service opportunities await. This includes efforts to assist in feeding the homeless, packing groceries, and delivering hot meals to the elderly. Pastor Mariano will be present, providing valuable assistance at the Banco de Alimentaciones.

The day will culminate with another youth clinic, continuing the Foundation's mission to engage and inspire the younger generation through sports.

BODYARMOR and General Mills contributed greatly in order to help supply participants with food and refreshments at each of the clinics. Nearly a dozen pallets were donated.

The week's activities conclude on Friday with a celebrity golf tournament, strategically designed to raise funds to help support the Foundation's ongoing community service efforts. Participants and sponsors alike will come together, contributing to the Foundation's mission of making a positive and lasting impact and continuing to "Build Nations of Good."  The impact of these community service initiatives is poised to be substantial, leaving a lasting impression on the areas visited.

The legacy of Roberto Clemente is not only honored but actively perpetuated through the Foundation's commitment to community service, youth development, and addressing societal needs. You can stay updated on these initiatives and support the Foundation by visiting robertoclementefoundation.com.
